Description
Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is the use of fiber material photosensitivity, through the UV exposure method to the incident laser coherent field pattern into the fiber core, the refractive index along the axis of the fiber core to produce periodic changes in the fiber core, so as to form a permanent space of the phase grating, its effect is essentially in the fiber core to form a narrow band (transmission or reflection) filter or mirror. When a beam of wide spectrum laser passes through a fiber grating, the wavelength that meets the Bragg condition of the fiber grating will be reflected, and the rest of the wavelength will continue to be transmitted through the fiber grating.
