Strain monitoring inside materials
OSC3500 is a small, highly sensitive GFRP cable sensor. Designed for monitoring surface or embedded strain and temperature. At its core, the OSC3500 sensor consists of a fiber optic fiber with a Bragg grating (FBG) sensor inside and a glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) coating outside, protecting the overall structure of the FBG sensor and reinforcing the sensor. There are many inherent advantages of FBG based sensors, such as small size, serial connection, resistance to electromagnetic interference, while also compensating for the vulnerability of bare gratings and improving their robustness to meet the needs of engineering sites.
Key Features
- High precision, high resolution, measurable positive and negative strain
- Not affected by electromagnetic interference, natural explosion-proof, temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and aging resistance are relatively good
- Long term zero point stability, small temperature drift, and high survival rate
- Can be measured in series, making it easy to build a distributed sensor network
- GFRPMaterial encapsulation
- Small size, easy installation, and reusable
- Multiple parameters can be customized according to user requirements, including the wavelength of the sensor, optical connector, customized length, and sensor point spacing.
